If you’re passionate about making a difference and have skills in website management, communications, design, marketing, or social media, we’d love to hear from you.This role will primarily focus on managing our online presence, enhancing our marketing and communication strategies, and expanding our reach across various digital platforms. Additionally, you may be involved in other tasks to support the team’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management
Maintain and update the BICS website with relevant content, including event details, speaker bios, and news updates.
Ensure website functionality, user experience, and responsiveness across devices.
Implement SEO strategies to optimize website visibility and traffic.
Marketing
Develop marketing strategies and execute marketing initiatives to promote the conference.
Coordinate marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, and email marketing.
Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
Communications
Develop and execute communication plans to promote BICS objectives.
Draft press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
Liaise with media outlets, partners, and stakeholders to enhance visibility and coverage.
Social Media Management
Manage and curate content for BICS social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
Create engaging posts, graphics, and videos to increase audience engagement and followership.
Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and facilitate discussions.
Design
Contribute to creative design initiatives to enhance visual appeal and branding consistency across digital and print materials.
Event Support
Assist in the planning and execution of the Brazzaville International Conference on Security (BICS), including logistical support and on-site coordination.
Collaborate with the organizing team to ensure seamless integration of digital and social media strategies during the event.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Public Relations, Security Studies, Political Science, Journalism, etc.) OR equivalent relevant experience.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with website management platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix, SQUARESPACE) and content management systems.
Prior experience in social media management and familiarity with analytics tools.
Creative thinking with a talent for storytelling and content creation.
Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively in a remote team setting.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
Interest in security issues, international relations, and UN sustainable development goals is a plus.
Proficiency in French is an asset.
