Description
In this position you will work with the Kitchenware Bundling Team. Your role will be to clean, maintain and test small appliances that are donated to HWF to ensure they are ready to be passed on to our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for retired individuals – the work shifts are generally Monday or Thursday mornings for 2-3 hours at a time and take place at the HWF warehouse.
To succeed in this role you:
– Have excellent familiarity with small appliances to be able to identify if are in working order
– Have good English or French communication skills
– Are reliable
– Can learn and follow instructions
– Can work in a team

How will the organization benefit?
For more than 15 years, HWF has been helping refugees, recent immigrants, and people relocating from shelters, leaving abusive situations, struggling with mental illness or at risk of homelessness. We are an award-winning, registered charity entirely run by volunteers. With your work on the kitchenware team, we'll know that our clients will be receiving small kitchen appliances that are in working order.
