Medical Equipment Deliverer
Description
Want to make a difference in the lives of people living with mobility issues? Stride is looking for someone to help with the delivery and set up of medical equipment. All deliveries are done on Thursdays by a two-person team of volunteers.
Responsibilities
Load and deliver medical equipment within the Ottawa region.
Set up and make any adjustments required.
Provide some instructions on the proper use of the equipment.
Pick up donated equipment and providing donor with temporary receipt.
Requirements
Have a valid clean Ontario driver’s license.
Be comfortable driving a delivery van.
Able to lift moderately heavy or large equipment
Be available every Thursday.
Able to communicate clearly and patiently with clients and fellow volunteers.
Uphold a high standard of respect for clients and volunteers.
Some knowledge of medical equipment is preferred. Training can be provided.
