Description

The GEFC works to alleviate food insecurity in our community by working together to create opportunities to access and share good food. We support over 700 households with our food bank in the east end. Recognizing that there are many ways to support food security, we have established our own farm plot at the Just Food Farm to engage the community in growing fresh food to share and programs that help people grow their own food. We believe in providing healthy, culturally appropriate food and the dignity of choice.
We are guided by a volunteer board of directors and we are looking for new members. We are especially looking for the role of secretary, to take the minutes at the meetings and keep our (mostly online) documents organized and up to date.
