Volunteers will support our Music Therapist in facilitating a group music therapy session. Volunteers will assist with gathering residents, passing out instruments and helping them to experience meaningful participation in the group.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The Music Therapy program creates a reminiscing and emotion based environment for our residents to participate in biweekly. The volunteer will learn how to support people living with dementia and other disabilities in group setting.
How will the organization benefit?
The Glebe Centre utilizes group programming to create a social connection between residents. Through volunteer support more residents will receive direct support during the Music Group program.
