Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation (CCOC)’s mission is to create, maintain and promote housing for low-and moderate-income people in central Ottawa neighborhoods. Currently, we are actively working towards protecting rental housing away from market forces to help address the housing crisis. If you’re interested in what we do and can commit 2-3 years to a term as an active Board member, the CCOC Board is what you’re looking for! We encourage candidates from all communities and backgrounds to apply, including but not limited to, Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), folks with disabilities, youth, seniors, folks on social assistance/subsidies, LGBTQIA+, etc.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Board members will have the opportunity to grow their impact alongside likeminded people and learn more about the diversity of their communities. This is a great experience to learn about affordable housing and use your expertise and skills to help in important decision-making processes on budgets, financial decisions, governance and policy changes.
How will the organization benefit?
CCOC would not be able to run without the support of our committed volunteers and Board members. As we are celebrating our 50th anniversary as an organization this year, we are seeking folks who are committed to helping guide our decision-making and ensuring we deliver our mission and grow our impact into the future of affordable housing in Ottawa!
