OPWHL Board of Directors
Description
We are seeking individuals who are:
• Passionate about hockey and community and have 5 – 8 hours per month to volunteer
• Committed to attending regular monthly board meetings (virtual – 1st Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:30 pm) and our annual events (i.e. December holiday party, volunteer appreciation event, Banquet).
• Strong communicators, team players and willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done
• Experienced in areas such as outreach and community engagement, policy development, event planning and marketing, fundraising and financial management
• Contribute to a healthy environment and league growth and development
Board Member Responsibilities:
• Attend and actively participate in monthly virtual board meetings
• Support league initiatives, based on annual planning cycle and priorities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of league policies and programs
• Be a strong community and league ambassador
• Support execution of operations as necessary

The OPWHL cannot operate without the dedication of our amazing volunteers. With additional Directors on our Board we will be able to grow our league, contribute to the development of players and advance the sport of power wheelchair hockey. We will also be able to support our community of para-athletes.
