Outdoor Landscaping Projects - Group Volunteers Needed!
Description
Come volunteer with Ottawa Community Housing at one of our many landscaping community projects!
OCH is the largest social housing provider in Ottawa. OCH provides approximately 15,000 homes to 32,000 tenants including seniors, parents, children, couples, singles, and persons with special needs within communities across the city of Ottawa housing a diverse population of varying languages, ethnicities, and cultures.
We are looking for group volunteers to take part in projects that will make a difference to our tenants’ outdoor spaces. Landscaping tasks include clearing overgrowth, planting flowers, and repairing or painting fences or garden benches. Volunteers will work as a team to enhance community outdoor spaces, which goes a long way for our tenants. All materials and tools to be provided, all you must do is show up. Drinks and food will also be provided depending on the length of the volunteer event.
Our landscaping projects help with the beautification of our tenants’ outdoor living spaces. Your group will help to make a difference for all our residents living in our communities. Landscaping projects available between the months of May – October.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteering in OCH events will help your team provide a sense of purpose and community. Your team will get to see first-hand the realities of social housing and the work that needs to be done. In addition to feeling a sense of purpose, our volunteer events are great activities for team building while contributing to a great cause.
