Description

Volunteers needed 2:15 – 4:30 on Fridays, for weekly rehearsals
Help porter residents to/from choir practice
Contribute as an active member of the choir, including performances at Perley Health 2 to 3 times/year
Assist residents to participate in rehearsal and performances through encouragement, holding songbooks, turning pages and identifying any care needs to staff

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The volunteer will have an opportunity to participate in a choir and learn about the Long Term Care setting, and the value and impact of Therapeutic Recreation Programs on the health & well being of seniors.
How will the organization benefit?
The volunteer will work together with staff to provide Therapeutic Recreation Programming.
