The Reintegration Coordinator is responsible for meeting and assessing prospective clients, and organizing a team of 3 or 4 trained available volunteer coaches. This would involve visiting area halfway houses, also known as Community Residential Facilities; and answering emails, phone calls, and collecting information using provided templates and forms. The Reintegration Coordinator reports to the Board and attends Board Meetings, currently by Zoom.

You will have an opportunity to help those leaving prison chart a new direction in their lives. They are often in need of practical help to obtain the basic necessities of life with little social or spiritual support. People leaving prison often struggle alone with burdensome personal problems.
You will gain experience in the operations of a volunteer organization, including service coordination and direct client interaction. - You’ll receive training in preparation for your role. You will work with a great team of passionate volunteers.
Completing new client assessments and liaising with the Board regarding client and team dynamics and performance.
Assembling teams of coaches to meet with client
Meeting with team and client at least once per month
Maintaining metrics of clients assisted, meeting held
Assisting the Board in submitting funding requests.
Conducting exit interviews with clients and volunteer coaches.
Time Commitment
Be available on average 8 hours of self-directed work each week.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
The Reintegration Coordinator will have:
– Some knowledge of the Canadian Judicial and Corrections systems and possess an understanding of the importance of reintegration.
– Comfort corresponding over email, phone and meeting with referral clients
– Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
