Seedlings and Native Plant Gardeners
Description
We are looking for volunteers interested in starting seeds and growing native plants for the Frank Street Bee and Butterfly Garden! In order the make the Garden’s second year a success, we are looking to diversify and expand the native plant species in the garden.
We can provide you with the seeds to grow the plants on your porches, windowsills or backyards. Depending on the weather, it may not be too late to do some winter sowing.
If you have your own seeds or backyard plants, we will happily accept your plant donations once the snow leaves. Please let me know if you have a couple plants for us and I will let you know when the garden is ready. Ideally the plants would be native to Ontario, but we do not plan on turning any plants away if they have big flowers for our bees and butterflies!
The community garden is located on Frank Street between Bank Street and O’Connor Street. We are always looking for new volunteers!
