The Silver Spring Art Studio is a space that welcomes all individuals with developmental disabilities to come and express themselves through creating many types of art. As a volunteer, you will be there to support the individuals to express themselves through their art projects. The classes range from painting to pottery, cooking classes and so much more!
The volunteer will have the opportunity to bring their own experiences to the studio to teach classes, assist with the classes and support the program. Experience in teaching art classes or an interest in creative arts is an asset, but not a requirement.
The studio is open Monday to Friday from 9-3pm and we are looking for volunteers who are available during these hours. There is no time commitment required, you come when you are available.

Our mission is to provide a tranquil and empowering space for individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives to creatively express themselves while valuing fun and fostering relationships.

OCAPDD is a not for profit organization that supports individuals with developmental disabilities. As an organization, the individuals that we support would benefit from participating in a creative atmosphere and learning new skills and experiencing the vibrancy that the arts community has to offer.
