Snoezelen is sensory therapy that has proven effective in calming those who have been diagnosed with dementia. It is believed that this non-threatening environment offers gentle stimulation that reduces tension, replenishes the spirit and allows recuperation. Sensory products and environments can be used to cam and reduce agitation through the relaxing smells and textures. The goal is focused on the resident with the goal of cognitive awareness and to engage in meaningful interactions using a variety of visuals, music, sounds and invigorating smells. You will be required to provide a copy of your booster shot and a police check. This position is for volunteers over the age of 18.

Volunteers will learn a variety of techniques that can be used to calm difficult situations.

We cannot run our programs without the support of volunteers.
