Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival

Description
-Volunteers must be able to communicate efficiently in English (French is a bonus), are friendly, outgoing, motivated, energetic and able to change their scheduled duties as needs arise
-The festival is held outside rain or shine; be prepared for the weather!
-We require volunteers to complete the entirety of their shifts
-Meal tickets will be provided for each 6 hour shift
-You may need to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time – some lifting may be required , depending on your role and abilities
-Closed-toed shoes are a must and volunteer shirts must be worn during your shift
If you have a volunteer shirt from a previous year please bring it along!
-Volunteers under the age of 18 must present a parental-consent form prior to their first shift
-Water stations will be available – please bring your own refillable bottle
-You must be substance free while participating at the festival
-You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working efficiently
-Please note no public transportation is available at this time — parking is extremely limited!
-We recommend, walk, bike, uber or drop offs
-Free shuttles are provides to the Festival from Algonquin College
-Sign off on your youth high-school hours!
