Description
The Mental Illness Caregivers Association (MICA) is hosting Art in the Park – an art show in Strathcona Park – on August 6, 2022. We are looking for volunteers to help with registration, set-up, a silent auction and refreshment provision.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteers will work together in a collegial environment to make this show a success such that volunteers, exhibitors and visitors have a great experience.
Volunteers may expect to meet a variety of people who share a common interest in helping those who struggle with mental illness. They will have contact with the managers who have organized the event and to learn about event management.
How will the organization benefit?
This show builds awareness of the issues faced by those who are mentally ill and by those who care for them. It provides an opportunity for us to network worth other organizations active in this field. And it helps to fund on-going operations.
