Description

Odyssey Theatre, Ottawa’s award-winning outdoor theatre, is holding a public reading of a new script under development on Sunday December 18. We are looking for one person to volunteer as a box office greeter for people attending the performance. There is no charge, so you do not need to handle money. You will greet people at the door, check their name against a reservation list, help them to their seats, and serve refreshments at intermission. The read through is from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and takes place at the LabO studio of the University of Ottawa.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The volunteer will get to watch a free performance of a new script. They will meet different artists and theatre professionals.
How will the organization benefit?
The new play workshop is a key part of our process in developing new plays for our stage. This staged reading gives the playwright a chance to listen to the script. And it lets the public watch part of the creative process.
Volunteer location:
LabO Theatre Studio. University of Ottawa Theatre Department. 60 Waller Street, Ottawa ON.
