Description – Treasurer
Manages all income and payments (membership renewals, registrations to various venues, art sales);
Inputs all transactions on Quick Books;
Does monthly reconciliation;
Assists with Financial portion of Grant Application;
Provides monthly reports to Board of Directors and coordinators (profit and loss, balance sheet, sales records etc..);
Provides art purchaser with a receipt, follow up payment to artist;
Picks up mail at Shenkman Centre – attend to deposits at BMO;
Interacts with accountant.

Membership Coordinator
Updates list of members and forwards a copy of list to Board members on a monthly basis;
Manages notices for expiring memberships, and provide new membership card on renewal;
Manages new members:
Sends Welcome document, membership card, and link to orientation;
Sends notices to board members and coordinators of new members;
Prepares monthly membership coordinator report;
Reviews reports from Web administrator to confirm all registrants’ memberships are up to date;
From these web reports prepares list of registrants , confirming payment and the members active membership. Provides completed list to the venues coordinators.

Arteast is a volunteer organization and volunteers are the key assets of Arteast. The Treasurers role is important for getting continued funding from the City to maintain the continued operation of the organization. Arteast has 2 source of income - through membership and through sales of artwork. The Membership coordinator ensures all registrants’ memberships are up to date in term of payments and in the files.
