Are you a party planner? Is Halloween your favorite holiday? Join Ausome in making Ottawa’s largest children’s Halloween party for the autism community a spooky success! Trot or Treat is a fun-filled day for children on the autism spectrum to enjoy and get their ghoul on. Ideal volunteers are detail-oriented, outgoing and ready to bring the life of the party to this event. As a planning committee member, you will help to research, book, and plan the decorations, music, and signage for the event. As a day-of volunteer, you will get to dress up and support fun activities for the families. To apply, please email: [email protected]

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in planning and executing inclusive, autism-friendly events. Sharpen your communication and organizational skills as you work alongside on a team of hard-working volunteers to create a spooktacular day for the autism community.
How will the organization benefit?
Trot or Treat Committee Members are integral to the creation of a unique, fun, and supportive event for the autism community. In addition, the funds raised at Trot or Treat will go directly towards the continuation and expansion of barrier-free sports programming for children with autism, as well as training for those who support athletes with autism.
