Description

Help support ONFE’s Virtual After School Tutoring Program!

The virtual After-School Tutoring program targets students in Grades 1-12, who require extra support in any school subject. The program offers a convenient and flexible option for both volunteer tutors and students, who benefit greatly from accessing help in the comfort of their own homes (with parental supervision).

Tutors generally meet with students online, once a week, for approximately 30-60 minutes between 4:00 – 7:00pm on weekdays, often after consultation with the student’s teacher.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER.

We ask volunteers to apply to our volunteer database, providing 2 references and a clear Police Vulnerable Sector records Check (PVSC). We will provide a personalized letter for volunteers to use in the application for the PVSC to waive the fee.

Once the screening process is complete and approved, you will be connected with the family to discuss the details/scheduling.

Thank you for your gift of time.
