Virtual Program Support - Chinese Speaking
Description
Hosting Zoom and phone programs on the technical front
• Tracking attendance
• Attending to the needs of the class facilitator and ensuring that the class runs smoothly
• Providing remote tech support for seniors
IMPORTANT: Please note that this position requires the volunteer to have the ability to speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin
Schedule:
• Regular weekly, from once a week to multiple times a week, depending on the volunteer’s interest and availability
• Each class is typically 1 hour and volunteer would need to be present 15 minutes before and after class
• Classes are usually in the morning between Tuesday and Friday
Technology:
• Reliable internet at home, computer and headset to host Zoom classes and track attendance, a working phone, basic knowledge of Excel and Google spreadsheet
Skills/Abilities:
• Must be able to perform duties in a manner that is non-judgemental and hold the belief that diversity makes us stronger
