Description

The Ottawa Hospital Auxiliary (TOHA) is currently searching for qualified people to join our volunteer Board. Individuals ideally have a strong interest in governance of not-for-profit charitable organizations, and a desire to make a difference in the Ottawa healthcare community.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Successful candidates will have the chance to work with a very active Board. There are opportunities to assist in a variety of sectors, be it leading a one-time special project, or leading a sub-committee. This would be a great learning option for someone wanting to learn more about governance boards.
How will the organization benefit?
In addition to building the capacity of our Board, we are also looking to increase the diversity on our Board - be it gender based, different cultures, gaining a youth perspective, etc - any and all of which will give TOHA a broader perspective of the communities we serve.
Volunteer location:
Currently we meet remotely, with one or two in-person meetings. These are held at The Ottawa Hospital, either the Civic or General location.
