Volunteer Cooking Program Instructor (Thursday evenings, Ottawa South)

Description
Do you enjoy cooking and are looking for an opportunity to use your leadership skills to support and inspire children? Volunteer at our Cooking program!
Christie Lake Kids is a nonprofit organization that provides barrier-free skill development to children and youth from low-income households. We bring our programs right to the communities and tailor our activities to their needs.
Here you’ll find a fun dedicated community where you can share your passion, gain leadership experience, help empower youth so they can achieve their full potential, and level the playing field so that all children and youth have a fair and equal chance to thrive.
As a volunteer, you will come in once a week for 1.5 hours to lead the volunteer team teach kids how to make healthy meals and snacks. All groceries and materials will be provided, including kitchen space.
Volunteers must be 19+, have two doses of COVID-19, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check under three years old (if you don’t have one, we can help you get it without cost).
