Meal Delivery Volunteer - Bilingual Optional
Description
Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to help deliver meals to seniors and adults living with disabilities in our community. The volunteer commitment is flexible and is usually a few times a month depending on your availability. Once you are trained you can sign up for shifts and view your schedule in our online volunteering portal. Each shift is 2 hours and usually occurs over the lunch period from Monday to Saturday. We also offer limited evening volunteering positions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Drivers deliver meals in both our hot meal and frozen meal programs. Drivers use their own vehicles to make deliveries to clients at their homes. During this time, volunteers see the direct impact their help makes in the clients’ lives.

How will the organization benefit?
Meals on Wheels relies on volunteers to keep our service running at full capacity. As more members of our community choose to remain at home in their senior years, access to nutritious food is essential for their health and independence. During these times of increased food insecurity, Meals on Wheels helps those in our community who may no longer be able to cook, may have difficulty accessing groceries, or would simply like some help with their meals.
