Volunteer Fundraiser
Description
• Cold calling and establishing relationships over the phone and/or face to face with businesses.
• Time commitment will be 2-5 hours a week to attend networking events to help brand and solicit donations
• Participate in organizing and attending fundraising events hosted by Ability First
• Familiar with social media platforms and willingness to work with Ability First to develop fundraising campaigns through those platforms
• Contribute to grant writing applications for approval by the Board
• Willingness to research potential donor companies and create reports for approval by the Board
Experience & Desired traits:
• Ideally, one year of experience or more with a charity fundraising department
• Familiar with Microsoft programs and have access to a computer in order to document and report collected funds
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
• Organized with a focus on attention to detail
