Description
The volunteer would escort residents from their units to the salon and then back to the unit after their salon visit. We need volunteers from 9 AM – 12 NOON WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY or in the afternoon FROM 12:30 – 3 PM. PLEASE NOTE WE REQUIRE A COPY OF THE 2ND DOSE OF YOUR VACCINE AND A POLICE CHECK. This will be explained during the interview process.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The volunteer would engage and encourage the resident as they are escorting, training will be provided on how to use a wheel chair and walker correctly. The volunteer can sit in the salon while waiting for the resident if necessary. A component of friendly visiting is part of the is position.
How will the organization benefit?
Our hair salon is only open part time so effectively booking residents will allow for them to have their hair done regularly. The stylist needs the help in order to reach as many residents as possible.
