The VOscars is the highlight of the year for the city’s volunteers and not-for-profits. The event celebrates Ottawa’s vibrant volunteer community and gives special recognition to those individuals, organizations and businesses that have made a difference in the community.
The 2022 VOscars Awards Gala will be held on October 27th, 2022 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm at the Westin Ottawa.
Time for Volunteers to attend: 4:00 pm
Volunteers will help with:
– Registration/ welcome table
– Silent Auction Cashier
– Raffle Cashier
– Set up and Take down

All volunteers will also participate in a volunteer orientation- date TBD

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This opportunity would help a volunteer gain community service hours and help them build a strong network among the non-profits across the Ottawa region. Volunteers will also get to participate in an exciting gala evening at the Westin including a live performance by artist Mimi O’Bonsawin. This volunteer opportunity could also lead to long-term volunteering with Volunteer Ottawa in future roles.
How will the organization benefit?
Volunteer Ottawa is an organization driven by its members and by volunteers, and the VOscars Awards Gala is our opportunity to recognize the champions of volunteering in Ottawa. We need volunteers to help us run a spectacular Gala event!
