The VOscars is the highlight of the year for the city’s volunteers and not-for-profits. The event celebrates Ottawa’s vibrant volunteer community and gives special recognition to those individuals, organizations and businesses that have made a difference in the community.
The 2022 VOscars Awards Gala will be held on October 27th, 2022 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm at the Westin Ottawa.
Time for Volunteers to attend: 4:00 pm
Volunteers will help with:
– Registration/ welcome table
– Silent Auction Cashier
– Raffle Cashier
– Set up and Take down
All volunteers will also participate in a volunteer orientation- date TBD
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This opportunity would help a volunteer gain community service hours and help them build a strong network among the non-profits across the Ottawa region.
Volunteers will also get to participate in an exciting gala evening at the Westin including a live performance by artist Mimi O’Bonsawin.
This volunteer opportunity could also lead to long-term volunteering with Volunteer Ottawa in future roles.
