The volunteer will help update the look and feel of the organization’s website first by making and revising a detailed proposal in consultation with the Executive Director. Expert-level familiarity with WordPress and Shopify themes and integration are essential. The volunteer should have very good attention to detail because the work would likely involve some coding and would need to be implemented with minimal interruption of public access to the website.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The volunteer would have the benefit of helping a public interest organization improve its public face on the Internet and its functionality. If the project goes well, it could serve as a reasonably high-profile illustration of the volunteer's work.
How will the organization benefit?
CHSL's website has not changed much in the past seven years, apart from adding content. It needs a refresh to coincide with the re-launch of CHSL's magazine which has been on pause since the beginning of COVID-19.
