Workshop Coordinator Volunteer

Description
Serenity Renewal for Families is a heart-centered, non-profit agency which provides help and support for individuals and family members impacted directly or indirectly by addictions. We do this through family programs, short-term counselling, workshops, and groups.
We are looking for a volunteer who can coordinate our virtual and in-person workshops. The volunteer will also be providing support to our counsellors and our clients. To be successful as a workshop coordinator volunteer, you should have the ability to trouble shoot.

Job Type: Part-Time (Volunteer)
Hours: Variable
Responsibilities
-Setting up the zoom interface for virtual workshops.
-Setting the workshop room for the in-person participants
-Marking the attendance of the participants attending the workshop.
-Testing the audio and video setting before the workshop if it’s a virtual workshop.
-Setting up proper camera angle and lighting before the workshop.
-Maintaining confidentiality of the workshop’s participants.
Requirements and skills
-Familiarity with Zoom
-Professional attitude
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
-Active listening skills
-Excellent googling skills
Language
-English; Bilingualism an asset
