OLIP is seeking Volunteer Photographers/ Videographers to donate their time and talents to take photos and/or videos of walking tours in some of the iconic Ottawa neighborhoods. The Photographer/ Videographer will give OLIP full rights to use the photos/ videos for marketing purposes.


· Attend assigned/chosen walking tours in full

· Advise tour participants that you will be taking photos. If a participant doesn’t want their photo taken, ask them if it’s okay if you don’t show their face

· Take note of any participant who doesn’t want their photo taken and ensure they don’t appear in any photo you submit

· Take photos/videos of tour participants as they interact with the tour guide

· Take photos/videos of interesting landmarks in visited neighborhoods

· Review and edit photography prior to submission and please only submit your best photos

· Provide brief descriptions (where needed) for photos/videos you submit

· Submit/ share your selected photos/videos (in the highest resolution) and captions to OLIP Communications Officer, Jean-Pierre Niyitanga at [email protected]. To learn more about WOW, please visit our website at

WOW provides opportunities for quality interactions among residents, old and new. Recurring annually since 2013 on the last week of June, WOW was initiated by OLIP and proclaimed by the Mayor of Ottawa.
How will the organization benefit?
The Ottawa Local Immigration Partnership (OLIP) is a multi-sectoral partnership involving 60 organizations working on a common vision and shared priorities focused on building Ottawa’s capacity to attract, settle, and integrate immigrants. About WOW Welcoming Ottawa Week (WOW) is an annual, week-long series of dialogues, cultural and celebratory events, guided tours, sports activities, documentary screenings, and other fun events designed to convey the genuine welcome and hospitality of Ottawa to newcomers.

The location will be provided closer to the date at various locations across Ottawa.
