Description
Be part of our Yarn Bombing Crew and help us weave connections across the province and around the world this June! We need you to get out your yarn and create colourful pieces for our Yarn Bombing displays!
Whether you’re an experienced crafter or ready to try for the first time, we need you to “Commit to Create” and be part of our local displays. Even if you’ve never knit or crocheted before, there are so many things you can make with yarn to add to our displays! Please reach out to our team and we’ll send you our Yarn Bombing Guide with lots of ideas to get you started!
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Our yarn bombing installations are made of hand-crafted pieces created by people supported by DeafBlind Ontario Services, intervenors, friends and family, local knitting clubs, and community members from across the province. Volunteers will be part of weaving connections throughout the province, across the country and around the world!
How will the organization benefit?
June is National Deafblind Awareness month and we are proud to be part of Yarn Bombing spearheaded by Deafblind International. By supporting our creation of hand-crafted yarn pieces, volunteers will help us raise awareness and allow us to create bigger and bolder displays.
